Donnachiara
Donnachiara has a winemaking tradition for over 150 years. However, the revitalization of the vineyards and the construction of the modern cellar in Montefalcione is recent, dating to 2005. Ilaria Petitto is the winery owner. She is young and resilant with a strong business and legal background. The Petitto family has always made wines with local grapes. No international vines have ever been planted on our property.
The vineyard holdings are split into two sections. One vineyard is close to the cellar at Montefalcione and the larger vineyard is nearby at Torre le Nocelle. 20 hectares are planted to Aglianico in a single block. The vines grow on a flat and sun filled location. In 1933 we built a farmhouse with a tower making it possible to seen at great distance. The Pettito family owns the largest planted Aglianico vineyard in the Avellino province
